tubby twins

can someone please give me an idea of wht I'm doing wrong I can't seem to get past the tubby twins which I find very weird since I have gotten past the swordsman which are after the tubby twins could someone please give me a strategy to get past them I tried all the suggestions from the walkthrough and the boss faq and still get nowhere I know I'm on the optional side stuff but I'm in it now and refuse to try and escape through the grrenball maze so basically I'm stuck can someone please help
